Duck Dynasty; A slight business standpoint

I am so disappointed in reading so many peoples responses to the whole Duck Dynasty thing. The fact that I have to read things like, "What's wrong with what he said? It's the TRUTH!", "Homosexuals are wrong and should die", and other ignorant ideals such as those make me beyond sad.

The fact is, you don't know what is or isn't the truth. None of us do. This is why we have faith and hope and LOVE. Gay, straight, bi, transgender; we all are children of the same universe. The general principle should always be about supporting and loving each other.

Now, on the topic of what was said, the guy has every right to have an opinion, BUT as any company would do with any other hired/contracted employee, when you do not promote the BUSINESS in a professional manner, while keeping their image clean, THEY, the BUSINESS, have every right to suspend and or terminate such employee. Go ahead, try it at your job. Go ahead and say whats on your mind about any minority, or any person in a negative manner, see where it gets you. He is lucky that he was just suspended for such a public response while representing a BUSINESS and not removed completely!

By all means, you can easily respond by quoting misinterpreted scripture from Leviticus, 1 Corinthians and Romans, but I can easily do the same with some other everyday element that you should supposedly be put to death for.

Just love and be loved. It is the meaning of our very existence. We live for love; without love, life doesn't seem worth living. Live for love, people...Live for love.

5 Secrets to a Stress-Free, Happy, Healthy Family from The Las Vegas Minister | Best Las Vegas Wedding Officiant

It is very unfortunate that I do not have any children. Having a child is the one thing in my life that I have always wanted. Way before I was a Las Vegas Wedding Officiant, I had to take care of my baby brother and sister after they were born. Although sober now, my mother was a drug addict, a gambleholic, and in an abusive relationship. I had no choice but to try and shield them from that life. Since then, I have always wanted a child. So, I can relate to this article below and I find the items listed to be very good tips for a family. But don't take this Las Vegas Wedding Ministers word for it, read it for yourself.

2013 Best of Weddings

I just wanted to let everyone know that I was once again voted as the knot.com's "Best of Weddings" for 2013. Two years in a row!

Thank you so much to everyone who left a review. It really means a great deal to me to hear your feedback on your most special day.

theknot.com will be releasing this information some time at the beginning of the year. I will provide you with more information as soon as I get it.

Footprints of a loved one...

I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful couple today at the World Famous Chapel of the bells. Their names were Heather and Randolph Lowry. They were already married, so I wasn't able to perform their service, but it was great just to talk with them and hear their story.
Normally, people just walk in from off of the Las Vegas Strip just to look at the chapel because it has been featured in many movies and television shows (hence the name “World Famous”). But what I found to be the most interesting (aside from their wonderful personalities) was thirty-five years ago today, Heather’s wonderful mother, Eula, stood in the exact same spot as she was standing right at that moment.
To some, this wouldn’t be too much of a big deal, but you see, Eula is no longer with us. I knew how much her mother meant to her and how many memories she holds dear to her, especially at that moment. I just knew from the love displayed only from meeting her for the first time that she misses her mother for the laughter they shared; the friendships forged; the defiant moments when she stood her ground - resolute in her faith and purpose…and for all the special intangible ways that she touched everyone’s hearts - ways that cannot be defined by words but only through the special bond Heather and her mother shared.
You can only imagine how much it meant to Heather to be standing there with her husband remembering her mother and the stories of her wedding day at the Chapel of the Bells.
Another amazing thing to see was that Heather and Randolph had with them the original marriage certificate from her mother’s ceremony in 1977 as well as her wedding ring. This was such a great piece of history to have and to see in one’s life. Marriage is one of the most important days of your life, and to share that memory with someone you love, living or deceased, it makes it that much more special honor them forever in our hearts.
Heather and Randolph have been married for 3 1/2 years now. They have a while to go to 35 years, but they are going to have a great journey getting their together.
